Oh dear! Haven't they ever heard the saying, 'The pen is mightier than the sword'?. what outcome exactly are they expecting from this? Confused

Highalert · 20/01/2017 15:48

Yay!

Sky admitted it was far away from the main action today. It looked like a smash and grab on shops by criminals to me..BBC commentator did sound enthused though..

Pallisers · 20/01/2017 15:55

Yay!

Seriously?

2nd amendment to the US Constitution which Trump defends, gives citizens the right to bear arms & if necessary hold the government accountable. I don't condone criminal behaviour but Trump lost the popular vote & protesters are holding him to account so he is just getting his comeuppance.

UnmentionedElephantDildo · 22/01/2017 10:24

Trump won the election, according to US laws on presidential, elections, and it's not the first time that the system has retuned a president who did not have the majority vote.

I don't recall a huge movement to change the presidential electoral system when Gore lost, or riots, or whatever.

This boils down to a tantrum rooted in dislike of the totally properly elected president. And if there is to be any respect for a voting democracy, then the result it returns has to be respected too.

I am no Trump fan (still, rather him or anyone than Clinton) but could they not have waited for him to have actually done something heinous as POTUS to have something to march about? This just looks absurd.
