Craig Gill (Inspiral Carpets) has died

I was very sad to read of Craig Gill's death and have spent the last hour looking at old Inspiral's videos on YouTube. They were a truly brilliant band and bring back many happy memories.

Condolences to his family and friends

So sad. Just 44y - far too young to go.

I had their cow logo image on top of my 18th birthday cake when I went out to celebrate with friends.

Just been listening to some of their songs - you forget ...

That's really sad news.

There's a campaign that has been started to get Saturn 5 by the band into the charts for Christmas.

Far too many musicians have died this year- Prince, David Bowie, Keith Emerson, Lemmy, to think of four, but none were only in their 40s.

Other than Craig Gill.

Condolences to those close to him. I hope they'll derive comfort from the fact that his music was enjoyed by so many. The ICs provided the soundtrack to my university/early professional life. Top band.
