C4 and Endemol must be laughing all the way to the bank. Viewing figures for CBB are up, it has been discussed feverishly on here, BBC website, now parliament are getting in on the act.

I still refuse to watch it though. Doesn't that tell you something when even people like me who don't watch it have actually commented on the antics of the sorry bunch in the house?

true. i really hope that this signifies the end of Jade's 5 minutes of fame.

themoon66 · 19/01/2007 09:02

Maybe we can get over this period in history where we put people like Jade up as shining examples of success for our kids to look up to!

paulaplumpbottom · 19/01/2007 12:58

I agree its sad that people like her can gain fame when talented people are waiting on tables.

Carmenere · 19/01/2007 13:02

But it is bad publicity for Jade, I mean who is going to want to buy her 'story'? No one, her comments have been indefensible and no publication is going to want to be aligned with them, or indeed publish her defending them.
I suppose there may be some mileage in 'Jade Repents' style stories...........

bluejelly · 19/01/2007 13:02

She;s gonna be hounded when she gets out though

paulaplumpbottom · 19/01/2007 13:07

She was hounded the last time to and that didn't hurt her.

BettySpaghetti · 19/01/2007 13:28

I think there is such a thing as bad publicity, and I think Jade is going to find this out very soon, as I've just heard on the radio that some shops are withdrawing her perfume from sale!

paulaplumpbottom · 19/01/2007 14:20

What about her books?

paulaplumpbottom · 19/01/2007 14:21

What about her books?

BettySpaghetti · 19/01/2007 14:29

They will probably be found in the bargain bin of your local cheapo bookshop any day now!

Blu · 19/01/2007 14:37

Hmmm. I think this might actually 'do for' the horrible spectacle that BB has become. When it started it was more 'social experiment' and i thought it was doidgy, even then. But now the sensationalised stunts have become more extreme - putting total freaks ion the hous, horrible bullies like Oete Burns, people with mental health problems like whatever his name was..and I think finally it might have backfired on them.

Andy Duncan looked a complete prat on the news last night...that can't be good.

OTOH the advertising has never been so good because of the viewing figs.

I don't think Michael Barrymore would agree with that particular axiom.

Do you think BB asked them to apologize?
