i don't and just don't get why the news does.

I don't give a rat's arse what he does, as long as it doesn't cost me any more than it already does.

I don't either - money/resources get wasted in far more excellently shocking ways.

The news is akin to reading the DM these days.

It's because politicians shouldn't be beholden to anyone. Makes sense really. Even if it is almost impossible to ensure.

is he staying with a beegee and his hose!?

JanH · 28/12/2006 23:31

I want to know which beegee it is.

Who paid his airfare is more to the point

alibauble · 28/12/2006 23:33

Precisely Carmenere - anything given free could be viewed as a bribe. That's why there was so much scandal about gifts above a certain value not being declared. Why should he get free holidays? When the rest of us have to pay. Although I must admit I did have a wry smile on my face when I heard that the plane had skidded off the runway in Florida.

TwoIfBySea · 28/12/2006 23:34

Wish him and his family would go there and stay there.

Bludgers the lot of them.

snowleopard · 28/12/2006 23:37

He can stay in my hose for free. Keep him quiet.

No, I do not care. There is so much more to care about, like Iraq and the erosion of civil liberties and the daft education system. In fact I think these things are an infuriating distraction. As if anyone thinks the rich and famous don't host jollies for each other and put in a good word for themselves all the bloody time. Doh, of course they do.
