I know I was gutted! kept meaning to respond to Biglips' thread announcing this yesterday as I couldn't help chuckling when she put "God bless his soul" Indeed.

Very sad indeed, my twenties owe a great deal to this legend, many a late night was spent flinging my young body round a seedy dancefloor to his music!

I looked and couldn't see another thread which was why I started this one. God bless his soul indeed! lol

Truly a legend.

Can't stop picturing the coffin bursting open with "watch me get up an do my thing, get up, get on up, get up......" or words to that effect

I loved James Brown and am glad that he is doing something as tacky as arriving at the Apollo in a white carriage. Its fitting.

Very sad, I love James Brown music.
They have put his body in the first theatre he sang at, for the public to view. On the news showed massive crowds.
