Tories cheating on expenses again

Allegedly. Ch4 News have uncovered massive discrepancy between declared election expenses and actual election expenses.

It seems the Tories are telling little porkies? Or perhaps they didn't know the law?

Watched the excellent Channel 4 News report about this on catchup.

The Tories seem to have overspent in the by-elections where UKIP were a threat. Carswell didn't give the impression that something major would happen about this unfortunately. He said it was unacceptable etc, but there don't seem to be good mechanisms to hold people to account by the sound of it.

It just sounds like more of the same.

I doubt Labour will do much about it as this affected UKIP and we all know that the Establishment doesn't give a hoot about UKIP.

Tonight on Channel 4 News, Michael Crick will reveal more information about Tory spending in Thanet South where they were in a desperate battle to beat Farage and UKIP in the general election.

I don't think its necessarily just the Tories....

Much as I dislike the Tories, I doubt that they were the only ones doing it.

Labour just as bad... C4 just selectively reporting..

Funny how the left like to gloat whenever anything about Tories and expenses (shock horror) comes to light but are largely silent about the same thing when it is labour politicians involved...
