The reports make it sound like a very isolated community - the type of place where everyone knows each other - there will be a lot of people hurting Sad

StealthPolarBear · 23/01/2016 06:59

Yes I thought that eve. Very isolated - almost makes you think that's why the news is coming out so slowly too

School shootings wherever they are are a tragedy because you think about the huge amount of potential years of life that has been stolen away by some scumbag. :(

exLtEveDallas · 23/01/2016 07:11

Despite spending some time in Canada, it had totally passed me by that civilian gun ownership was allowed. Daft really, I should have known that.

I suppose a lot of people still 'live off the land' there, so need guns to hunt. But then tragedies like this happen...it beggars belief that anyone would go into a school with a gun. Fight with your family/mates/strangers in the street - well maybe, but to purposely target a school? It's beyond me Sad

chilledwarmth · 23/01/2016 07:41

I thought our northern neighbors were quite tight in what they allowed civilians to own?
