Am feeling quite depressed by it all :(

OP posts:
GiddyOnZackHunt · 02/12/2015 22:33

I mailed my MP but he's a shiney cheeked career politician so I have no doubt he's hot on Dave's heels to vote for bombs.

RabbitSaysWoof · 02/12/2015 22:33
Sad
YesterdayOnceMore · 02/12/2015 22:34

It is a very sad day.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 02/12/2015 22:34

Bugger.

Pipbin · 02/12/2015 22:35

Fuck it all.

chilledwarmth · 02/12/2015 22:36

Hey IPityThePontipines, Assad didn't create ISIS. No one would create an army specifically to fight them. It was us in the West who funded them and trained them back when we could get away with calling them moderates. We're happy to fund anyone as long as it suits our goals.

magimedi · 02/12/2015 22:38

Fuck.

Going to bed - very sad.

G1veMeStrength · 02/12/2015 22:40

Bastards.

BrandNewAndImproved · 02/12/2015 22:42

I'm against the bombing but understand why corbyn is giving the party a free vote.

The only MP eho has made a half decent case for bombing has been Hilary Benn.

pavlova71 · 02/12/2015 22:48

Depressing beyond belief.

TheXxed · 02/12/2015 22:50

Stella Creasy has painted herself to be a victim in order to deflect valid criticism. Her constituents do not want her to murder children and she has voted to murder children.

firegirl · 02/12/2015 22:51

Bollocks. And DH out meeting friends in London tonight. Hopefully retaliation won't start right now. But god even more of all those innocent people in Syria that are going to get killed now. All those MPs, do they really represent the British public do you think?

squidzin · 02/12/2015 22:51

I understand S Creasy is in line for deselection.

squidzin · 02/12/2015 22:55

MPs do not represent the country and never will as they are psycotic power crazed legal murderers.

The very ambition to be a politician automatically disqualifies you from general humanity.

I am obviously angry, with valid reason. Elaborate language excused.

firegirl · 02/12/2015 22:59

Fuck fuck fuck squid is there anything we can do

Destinysdaughter · 02/12/2015 23:01

"My dd1 (14) was off school ill today and talking about this, she was really upset and said "why do they want to bomb them. It won't get rid of them. You can bomb buildings and people and things but you can't bomb an idea or what these people believe in"

Well your daughter is very clear sighted and has it absolutely right. I fear this is going to make things much much worse and we should all be very scared right now. This will not make the world a safer place...

CallingAllEmergencyKittens · 02/12/2015 23:14

These knees are made for jerking
And that's just what they'll do...
One of these days these jerks are going to bomb all over you.

firegirl · 02/12/2015 23:22

I feel a real sense of dread if I allow myself to think about the world that I am leaving my DD to bring her DCs up in...

Shutthatdoor · 02/12/2015 23:25

I understand S Creasy is in line for deselection.

JC has said any calls for deselection are not on and should stop as should any abusing of her staff.

PlaysWellWithOthers · 02/12/2015 23:50

The first civilian casualties will happen tonight.

The enormity of the decision made this evening will be felt for years to come.

I am utterly bewildered that anyone could think that it's possible to bomb democracy into a country.

AuntieStella · 02/12/2015 23:57

"The first civilian casualties will happen tonight."

We've been bombing IS for months already. They hold territory in both Iraq and Syria, and we've been fully engaged in bombing on the Iraq side of the border (a border which IS do not recognise).

How many casualties already?

Abraid2 · 03/12/2015 00:10

No civilian casualties from the bombing raids in Iraq, according to the RAF.

IPityThePontipines · 03/12/2015 00:31

Chilled - Yes he did: www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2014/07/assad-and-the-art-of-the-devils-gambit/374501/

"Assad or the country will burn" is the regime slogan and like a mafia gang, the regime will do what ever it takes to stay in power. He's carried out a mass aerial bombing campaign against his own people, ffs!

There are still moderate rebels, the Free Syrian Army are having to fight Assad, ISIS and the Russians too.

TheOriginalMerylStrop · 03/12/2015 00:44

How do I explain this to my children?

I am glad at least that I have never voted for any of these warmongers

theunfairersex · 03/12/2015 06:42

The following allegations which someone posted on another forum should be of concern to everyone who is following this thread. Is this what Jeremy Corbyn referred to in parliament yesterday when he said we needed to concentrate on where ISIS were getting their money from and who was buying their oil?

If so, why didn't we hear more about it as it would have grave implications for everyone involved?

Reports elsewhere have suggested that ISIS are selling approaching $100 million dollars of oil a month via Turkey and have sold around $1 billion dollars worth this year.

If true, it would suggest the UK dropping a few bombs on the ground in Syria will not make any difference unless we tackle the alleged oil trade AT SOURCE.

Is the following information Russian propaganda, or is it true that Turkey are enabling ISIS?

'if he Mr Cameron had cared to joint the dots like rest of the free thinking world and wonder how the much vaunted USA/NATO intelligence resources could have failed to not to note where the Islamic terrorist money comes from?

Which is of course a matter for NATO to be held directly responsible as it's NATO member Turkey which had allowed the Islamic international criminals to freely cross it's customs posts into Syria, and to move the arms and supplys for these invaders, further it allowed them to cross into Turkey with stolen artefacts, oil and other valuables without stop or hinderance, being the key money and military support for the terrorists ?

Thus if Mr Cameron were to look at the cause of this terrorism, he would clearly see that the culprits are primarily the USA and Turkey, and further he, the British prime minister should just focus on the lack of honesty in failing to perceive Turkey's full embrace of the Islamic terrorist cause, and question the degree of culpability of the Mr Erdogan and the Turkish leader's family, who's son and daughter own one third of the highly profitable BMZ Group ( the trucking company which illegally exports stolen Irakian and Syrian oils for trans-processing in Turkey ) ??
