God, that is scarey isn't it? I guess it must include some SAHMs, but not that many surely? And 216,000 16 and 17 yos with nothing to do can't be healthy.

Or is this just a lie with statistics - I did't think that unemployment levels were that high?

Am I right in thinking that you have to be 18 to count in the unemployment figures? Totally disgraceful twisting of figures by HM Govt but I'm sure that's the case. Similarly a lot of people who are on incapacity benefit
would historically have been counted as unemployed thereby boosting the unemployment figures. The government did another fiddle with the figures (I'm not even sure which government)so that those on incapacity don't count towards the unemplyment figures. Hey presto - we have low unemployment. Not.
