RIP Michael Meacher

Michael Meacher died today. Very sad news.

He was a great, kind, decent, caring man. He was independent and compassionate. He will be greatly missed.

Michael was one of the few MPs who understood our debt-based, commercially issued money system and wanted to do something about it. He will be missed and is a sad loss to the movement of monetary reform.

StanStreeson Thanks. Never heard of Positive Money before. I've now read this site with interest and the principles outlined certainly chime with what I've thought for a long time.

And Michael will be missed - for good reason. He was also a committed environmentalist, unafraid of speaking up and out.
