The Labour Party lost a general election with a socialist manifesto, the party machine was not decimated, so why form this Momentum group?

A new group set up by Jeremy Corbyn’s supporters must not become a "party within a party", Labour grandee David Blunkett has said.

Its mission is to “transform” Labour into a more democratic entity and to bring about “a mass movement for change, for real progressive change in every town and city”.
In the early 1920’s Germany had a political party called the ‘German Workers Party’, but then had a new charismatic leader who after the great recession was to offer the people social ‘change’ – while stamping his own authority on the party by the renaming of it, the ‘National Socialist German Workers Party’ (NSDAP).
Under this new leader their social policies became deliberately vague to appeal to as wide a group as possible e.g. a common voter not just socialist, but needed a scapegoat on many a street corner for the German people to both hate, and blame, for their problems.
Interestingly this party leader also targeted communism, but did support the use of terror on the streets in achieving politic aims, the need to be militarily strong and was anti large Treaties with Germany at the forefront, this one was signed in Versailles.
But throughout the 1920’s good organisation, effective propaganda and rallies spread the popularity of the party all over Germany.
The point of this story is beware political leaders with their own in-party agendas, who install their own apparatus - and who then look to ‘Blitzkrieg’ all opposition before them - both inside and outside of their own party.
