Bummer .... beaten by two good teams who deserved it more, but what do I know, I'm still trying to work out 'the offside rule'(?).

So best of luck to the other home nations, I'm probably still too disappointed for those around me to watch the games until the semis, but a UK winner could salvage something from this 'first home nation to get knocked out at group stage' debacle.

My family has always supported one football team, rarely in the Champions League - but that does not mean I wouldn't want another English team to ever win it in their absence - and similar, I would only have interest/want to watch, say, the semis and the final.

So with England out, I sincerely hope a home nation wins it.

I'm loosely called a fan (as rarely visit grounds) ... not a head-up-bum fanatic, one often finds on Mumsnet, away from sport.

But understand England out might, just might, be popular elsewhere in these Isles because it is England, so please feel to gloat away for now, before we carry on kicking your arses in everything else. lol
