Has anyone else been following this case? I feel slightly sick. I don't know if he is innocent or guilty but, at the very least, it seems that there is some doubt.

I don't agree with the death penalty in any case, but I really can't understand how any civilised country can apply it in a case like this. It's barbaric.

link please

Sorry, will try to find a link that tells the whole story.

Seems that the execution has been stayed again - apparently there is some problem with the drugs that they were going to use.

I guess nobody else has been following it then?

I've been aware of the case, but sadly it doesn't surprise me. The USA has many brilliant aspects, their highly political (in)justice system is not one of them.

Killing people who (allegedly) have killed people as the ultimate sanction because killing others is so wrong...hypocrisy at it's most extreme.

Sadly, it doesn't surprise me either, andro, but it does make me feel physically ill.

Regardless of this man's guilt or innocence (and I am wholeheartedly opposed to the death penalty even for those who are definitely guilty), it seems that Richard Glossip's family and friends are also being punished by this crazy system. How many times now have they geared themselves up to face his execution?

I don't know, but the day countries with the death penalty realise that all they're doing is creating more victims and handing the family of the executed life without parole the better! Torture is supposed to be against the constitution, as is cruel an unusual punishment...to my mind Richard Glossip and his family are enduring both.
