Can you trust what's in your fridge?

If it's got seed inside it, it's fruit. Didn't you know???

And what's this about, is there link to a story?

Anything with a seed in it is a fruit. Any other vegetable is .....well a vegetable.
But what about beans (french or runner)?
Also bananas and rhubarb are fruits but have no seeds. So what are they?

NotQuiteCockney · 29/11/2006 16:56

Here is the explanatory thread.

Bananas reproduce asexually. But I think they maybe still count as fruit?

Isn't a banana officially a seed?

Flamesparrow · 29/11/2006 17:05

Banana is something else again isn't it, like a coconut is some weird subspecies
