Wasn't it you who brought us the "man brutally eats swan" story? Is this what you 'do', dredge up distressing news items and post them on the web?

PinkTinsel · 29/11/2006 14:03

o no

why do they have to trivialise it by repeatedly calling the poor baby a tot?!

SpaceCadet · 29/11/2006 14:05

oh god how awful

hmmm tot is offensive

alexa1 · 29/11/2006 14:07

Yes, I only post depressing news with the hope that you will all be depressed and have a depressing chritmas.

Why else would I post a story some people may find of interest, especially as we (or most) of us are mothers so find the story all the more shocking.

dreadfully sad

donnie · 29/11/2006 14:12

what a sad thing - I feel very sorry for the poor man who found the baby.
Agree that 'tot' is trivialising and irritating.

Why couldn't they leave the body somewhere half 'decent' IYKWIM ? the hard bloody shoulder FGS.

alexa1 · 29/11/2006 14:15

donnie. i agree, why couldn't they of left it at the hospital or something. the hard bloody shoulder of all places.

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/11/2006 14:16

oh feck thats about a mile from me

There's a hospital about as close by as that too

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 29/11/2006 14:17

These bastards. Evil, cruel, bastards. Hanging's too good for 'em. They should be cut into little pieces and fried in axle grease, the cruel, evil bastards.

PanicPants · 29/11/2006 14:19

Thats so sad, poor baby and poor mother. Why couldn't she have gone to a hospital? Makes you wonder what her circumstances are

Cappuccino · 29/11/2006 14:20

there's plenty of stories out there about very young mothers - sometimes only just out of adolescence - who secretly give birth to stillborn babies and dump them out of shock and shame

this isn't new and it isn't something for you lot to paw over either

some poor girl is having the shittiest time imaginable

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 29/11/2006 14:21

(I was being ironic. I haven't really got rabies)

chonky · 29/11/2006 14:22

or it could be an adult woman with full-blown peurperal psychosis.

honestly - reel your necks in, there's nothing to see here.

Cappuccino · 29/11/2006 14:23

lol at 'reel your necks in'

wish we had sound effects

ComeOVeneer · 29/11/2006 14:24

I agree it is a terrible tragedy, however as none of us know the story behind it, speculating isn't fair on what could be an extremely distressed person or people.

christmaspudding · 29/11/2006 14:27

Probably is a young teenage mum.

PinkTinsel · 29/11/2006 14:39

if it were a stillbirth why dump him/her on a hard shoulder, surely there's somewhere else she could have left the baby? seems so cold, not the action of a grieving person.

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 29/11/2006 15:04

Actually, joking aside, there is a support group for people who find themselves getting too obsessed with disturbing news stories. It can be a real blight to those who suffer with it.

here

Trinityrhino · 29/11/2006 15:07

the person who did this could be reading this

Willow2 · 29/11/2006 15:08

I doubt it.

millyisabilly · 29/11/2006 21:43

Thought this was a joke. OMG.

7swansaswimmingup · 29/11/2006 21:48
