Supernannies for bad parents...

Lifted from the BBC website

"Super nannies" are to be brought in to try to improve parenting in 77 areas of England with high levels of anti-social behaviour, Tony Blair has said. On every indicator of bad behaviour - drugs, drink, violence, promiscuity - the UK was at or near the top of the league, according to the survey earlier this month. Government Respect co-ordinator Louise Casey said: "We've got to... prevent a new generation growing up with signs of anti-social behaviour."

I appreciate what His Royal Tonyness is trying to say, but surely he should heed his own words in the first place. I mean, his eldest son has had the usual teenage experiences of getting blind drunk, vomiting in the street and going for a midnight swim in a fountain, and the former Home and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw's son William was arrested for supplying a class C drug when he was 17. James Major wasn't without his drunken exploits being plastered (excuse the pun) all over the front pages of the papers and as for Mark Thatcher, well...

What I'm trying to say is that bad behaviour isn't just limited to council estates and children of single mums. Bliar should take a look in his own back yard before judging other people on their parenting skills. After all, parents who otherwise tick all the boxes of being ?good parents? can sometimes make monumental cock-ups!

I think it's a good idea myself.
