here

A change in the law means that pakistani women no longer need to find 4 male witnesses to press for a rape case, and no longer risk whipping or stoning for adultary if they fail in their case.

An excellent step forward.

Lets hope it goes through. Its certainly a start. Can you imagine being raped, which is too awful to contemplate, then being tried for adultry. What those poor girls must go though.

lets hope it goes through. poor women.
off topic, but did any of u see crimewatch uk a few weeks ago? there was a pakistani family living in london, husband & wife & 3 lovely daugthers and the woman left him (not sure if it was for another man) and in their religion they have to honour (not sure if this is what it's called) their family and if they don't the family members can murder the person that has not honoured their family. anyway, the man murdered the wife in front of the kids and told them they had to'honor' the family or they too would be murdered. it was so upsetting it made me cry what those poor little girls had to witness.
