I have been living with my DH and DS at my parents house for seven months. We moved out last weekend to a house of our own! We are very HAPPY!

im getting a brand new up to date boiler from Warmfront in 3 - 4 weeks time. We've spent months whacking our boiler to get the hot water on without breaking my wrist!! Just found out that our boiler is 15 yrs old and also it will save 30% on our bills - yippee!!

alexa1 · 09/11/2006 21:12

cheaper bills can only be a good thing biglips. congrats on your new boiler.

This is why I don't watch the news or read a paper (except on Sunday, when I get The Observer), it's a head in the sand approach but it works for me.

alexa1 · 09/11/2006 21:14

wow gingeme that's excellent. Congrats on the new baby.

calebsmum - oh thats lovely - congratulations xx

alexa1 · 09/11/2006 21:16

WWW - i agree it can be so depressing reading the papers and watching the news. I don't read or buy papers but occasionally watch the news if I have time. I usually go on the bbc's website for news.

Well done with the size 16 clothes Gingeme! Have been out driving today and will go out tomorrow, am quite nervous, really worry about anything happening with DS in the car.

Nice to have a positive thread!

worldgonewild · 10/11/2006 09:52

It's POETS day today.

joelallie · 10/11/2006 11:28

My sitting room has been redecorated.

And DH hasn't put the roller and pasting table away so he might even do the dining room too....

That's very very good news.

biglips · 11/11/2006 16:46

bump,,,,,,, anymore good news

alexa1 · 11/11/2006 17:01

Yeah. I've got a night off from the kids. Yippee. doesn't happen often. The downside is I can't drink too much alcohol as I started on medication.
Never mind, a lie in for me tomorrow. Will be snoring my head off while most of you will be up with your kids. Not trying to make you envious, honest.
