This is running in the East Midlands ATM. Just in case it is running elsewhere I thought I'd post this

'Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching also
be worth passing onto your friends/family and colleagues.Andy Foden,

It has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are
making people aware of the following scam:A card is posted through your door
from a company called PDS (ParcelDelivery Service) suggesting that they were
unable to deliver a parcel andthat you need to contact them on 0906 6611911
(a premium ratenumber). DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam
originating fromBelize. If you call the number and you start to hear a
recorded message youwill already have been billed £15 for the phone call.If
you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal
MailFraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator)
atwww.icstis.org.uk '

Hmmm, links suggest this has been closed down , although it was a real scam.

And of course there will certainly be other, similar scams in the future.

I'd think the 0906 number was very suspicious to start with. I'd be frustrated at an 0870 number but an 090 prefix is a premium rate number.
