apparently it is 6 years today since she went missing. so strange that she has never been found.

Why is it strange?

milkyman · 21/03/2015 18:51

just the fact that someone goes missing into thin air - v sad.

She hasn't gone missing into thin air. Unfortunately, she will have been murdered and her body concealed somewhere.

emotionsecho · 22/03/2015 00:09

I really hope they find out what happened to her and who was responsible, her poor father he looks more and more broken every time he appears on TV.

Also, I hated the way they press vilified her private life.

ChantenayCarrot1 · 23/03/2015 14:18

A man has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.

emotionsecho · 23/03/2015 15:57

Just heard that on the news Chantenay, from what they said on the news it was as a result of the airing on the large screen of that cctv footage.

The heartbreak and anguish is etched onto her dad's face, for his sake I hope he finally gets some answers and justice.

ChantenayCarrot1 · 23/03/2015 16:20

Totally agree. Her poor Father.

BoyScout · 23/03/2015 18:35

I really think our police force in this country are amazing. Six years on, few leads and they're still investigating hard.

Mintyy · 23/03/2015 19:27

I'm not sure.

Why hasn't this cctv footage been seen before?

TheGirlFromIpanema · 23/03/2015 19:46

Same reason has they hadn't ever searched the area near her home properly I assume mintyy Sad

Boyscout, imo the police are 'cold casing' it so hard because they know their predecessors royally fucked up at the time she disappeared. Peter Lawrence has had to fight hard to keep this goingas an investigation. His determination for answers has no doubt helped with recent findings.

BoyScout · 23/03/2015 20:54

Do you think so? Did they fuck up? I didn't realise, I thought the whole 'review by a new team' was standard procedure in major investigations that are going cold.

Mintyy · 23/03/2015 21:04

Yes, pictures of the police doing a fingertip search in the alley behind her home recently just said "roughly 6 years too late" to me.

emotionsecho · 23/03/2015 21:37

Me too Mintyy, I can't believe they didn't do that at the time, and what on earth could they expect to find there after all this time.

Viviennemary · 23/03/2015 21:46

Just shows it's never too late to bring people to justice. I think the police do a great job with these cold cases. When the culprits hope all will be forgotten and they can just go on with their lives. Hope her family gets justice.

emotionsecho · 24/03/2015 17:09

I hope so too, Vivienne, I don't know why but this case really bothers me.

Nicknacky · 25/03/2015 12:03

I don't think a search done recently necessarily indicates that the police fucked up. A suspect could have held onto property, clothing, weapons and disposed of them recently, particularly if they suspect they may be identified soon. I think it would be worse if they didn't still do searches.

TwinkieTwinkle · 22/04/2015 10:33

Three men arrested on suspicion of her murder today.

fixedit · 22/04/2015 14:06

I was only thinking about her the other day, so sad for her parents to not have any answers.
