I'm black and DH is white. Our 2yo twin boys are similar. The fair skin one has blue eyes and fair hair. The dark skin one has brown eyes and brown hair. They were both pale when they were born. DT1 darkened quickly but DT2 remain pale (I thought he was going to be an albino!). However, he has developed some colour and has the complexion of a white person who tans easily.

They are both beautiful regardless!

I thought that they were called Ebony and Ivory when I first saw the caption under the photgraph.

wow they are gorgeous!
I have one dt darker than the other, one is very indian looking, whereas the other jsut looks tanned. Nothing like the differences between those girls though.

there were two boy twins in britain who were darker and fairer about fifteen years ago, i remember seeing the pictures then. they looked identical but for their skin tone, it was just amazing.
those wee girls are delicious, aren't they?

They are gorgeous aren't they. I used to babysit for a brother (very blond/blue eyed like mum) and a sister (dark skin and dark brown curly hair) like her dad.

lovely babies, does anyone remember the story of a set of girl twins one white and another black but they looked very similar except their colouring it turned out they had both different fathers, mother had just split form ex and had new partner and had obviously released 2eggs that were fertilised by the two different men?

It is very worrying reading about the racism that soem of these families have encountered. I do worry for my boys when they get older. We live in a mainly ethnically white area now and I worry that my lighter twin will be more readily accepted by school friends than the darker twin, especially as he is more outgoing in personality.

Fascinating isn't it, they're very beautiful. My twin girls are also very different, one has olive skin like her father and the other is very pale like me.

I remember that article about those pretty girl twins - all twins are special but they are just so lovely. They are actually very similar, (apart from the obvious) and they are so beautiful! DNA is a wonderful thing.
