Clearly the dads don't live with them, fine. As sole responsible adult it is their responsibility to ensure the children are cared for. But the whole article was just so smug to 'mums'

I hope that the child that has gone back to his mum is being closely monitored.

Well presumably the dads haven't been mentioned because they are either out of the picture all together or at least don't live with them so would have had no part in whatever neglect went on.

Why is that so difficult to understand?

The whereabouts of the two fathers/ex's really is irrelevant, the mothers are the primary care givers in this case and the ones who have committed the crime.

I wonder why one child has been returned to his mother and the girl hasn't.

That is indeed what the report say. Reports aren't always accurate. But even taking it at face value, the police had looked around the house. If they found evidence of female occupation but no evidence of male occupation it would be perfectly reasonable of them to ask about mum.

I dont think you can say the fathers had no responsibility. OK over the night out partying the mums were responsible but I imagine if I split up with dh then kept my dds in squalid conditions without bedclothes or food in the house he would be straight to a solicitor.

Disgraceful. It doesn't matter about the dads - the children were neglected by their primary carers. How can anyone keep their kids hungry and cold. Boils my piss.

Just awful. I don't have a shred of sympathy for these women.

In a recent thread about adoption some posters were saying adoptions were wrong and parents need more help and support.
I'm struggling to see how this situation arose through lack of help and support. Does anyone really have to have help and support before they can see that leaving small children cold and hungry in a filthy house is wrong.

And if the fathers had been resident or were meant to be looking after the children that day they would have been charged too. The suggestion that it's always put upon women who get blamed as some sort of excuse for the behaviour of these vile women is offensive.

What makes you think they even know who the dads are?
