Have looked at Daily Mail and the regional press coverage, can't find anything detailed. Will there be a document detailing the full judgment online somewhere?

Not much help to you in terms of recorded detail, but I heard it mentioned on the news that paramedic (and, possibly, others) thought he was drunk. I don't find that much of an excuse for ignoring any collapsed fellow human from anyone in a medical/caring profession.
