What do you make of this?
I know it's the Daily Fail, but I think it's interesting - do you think asking for a class present is a cheek, or just a sensible way of avoiding piles of loom bands, hair clips and other plastic tat?

Meh. If I asked a parent for present ideas, and they said 'they are saving up for a kindle' I'd happily shove a fiver in a card rather than spend my lunch break buying shite at the Entertainer tbh.

I don't think any of the school mums will be emailing her anything anytime soon

I think this is just one of her attempts at a publicity stunt. The emails were apparently sent a year ago, so why did she post them only now. Also, from what I understand from the class involved, the mums of the birthday girls were ASKED by other mums what presents their girls would love. The mums NEVER demanded a kindle and a desk from the rest of the class. If you read the emails properly, two different mums (not the mums of birthday girls) OFFERED to collect the contributions from the other mums. At no point was it mentioned that forking out £10 was a must for all those attending the parties.

So please, Myleene, spare us your celebrity-superiority air and go back to posting images of yourself in bikinis on Twitter.
