Bet this is all down to the fear of being sued if a child gets hurt crossing the road whilst a "non trained" teacher is doing the road patrols.

Ah the cult of training.

The assumption is that if we haven't got a certificate, we don't have the common sense or common intelligence to do something simple.

And it's probably to do with insurance.
