"Unneccessarily basic"...pah! That's probably cos we only have 4 smileys to choose from!

Janh · 18/04/2004 12:05

"that feels like nit-picking"? That IS nit-picking! (Presumably they are comparing with all those forums with ghastly jump-up-and-down-waving smilies?)

tigermoth · 18/04/2004 17:54

Basic is good!

carla · 18/04/2004 18:18

I think it's good - but I think we should have been first, IMO.

Angeliz · 18/04/2004 18:20

I like basic too!

Very good review really though, apart from all the nit-picking

bluesky · 18/04/2004 18:53

It shows they couldnt find anything to fault, so had to nitpit something!

Codswallop · 18/04/2004 18:55

how is netmumsonline thesedays?

3GirlsMum · 18/04/2004 19:37

Oh JanH surprised to see you put that when I have seen you on just those sites..lol

Janh · 18/04/2004 19:47

not me, 3GM - gives me vertigo - I stick to sites that keep still!

3GirlsMum · 18/04/2004 19:52

Oh well in that case someone is copying your username

Codswallop · 18/04/2004 19:52

REAALLY?

Janh · 18/04/2004 19:53

REALLY?????

Codswallop · 18/04/2004 19:53

hey t his is like scooby do!

Janh · 18/04/2004 19:54

Thought you were kidding. Which sites? Where? (I did once post on that froot_loops thing but guess you don't mean that).

Janh · 18/04/2004 19:55

Actually it's not exactly unique (sadly!) there are a few places where they offered me janh103 or something when I registered.

3GirlsMum · 18/04/2004 19:55

Fruit Loops, dont have a clue what you mean?! Did you enter a cereal competition..lol

Janh · 18/04/2004 19:59

No, not cereal! It was a paintballing site (Canadian) and there was a kid called frootloops (or even fruitloops, can't remember now) who it turned out had terminal cancer, billions of people posted. (Including me, obv.)

3GirlsMum · 18/04/2004 20:00

Oh no definitely not that site I never heard of it. Aww poor boy though.

Hulababy · 18/04/2004 20:54

Can't believe they [praise BW for its lively discussion forums over MN. Have you been there recently. If not - go check out Your Shout. BW was the first site I used but now I rarely do, other than for the antenatal club. The discussions are a nightmare for arguements and bitchiness recently

Janh · 18/04/2004 20:55

BW, hula?

Slinky · 18/04/2004 21:00

I couldn't believe that either Hulababy!

Been a member of BW for 4 years - occasionally visit but only "Your Shout". Don't know why but lately everyone seems to be "pretending" to be other users and then slagging other users off!! Average age of users appears to be 12 (judging by types of postings!).

Janh · 18/04/2004 21:00

sorry, hula, just looked at Clayhead's link again!

Hulababy · 18/04/2004 21:02

Exactly Slinky, it just drives me nuts. I just can't be bothered with it now. Used to be good too but sadly no more As you say, average age appears to have fallen drastically. Mind you a recent posting there was an intersting one: Can redheads breastfeed? What???

Slinky · 18/04/2004 21:04

WHAT????

I missed that one Hula - have to go and search for it now LOLOL
