Bristol Missing mum and baby - please keep an eye out

Bristol Mumsnetters,

Charlotte Bevan and her four day old baby have gone missing from a central Bristol maternity unit and haven't been seen for over 12 hours. PLEASE keep an eye out for her and phone the police if you see her - she's white, around 5'8, dark hair, wearing a black top, black trousers and hospital slippers or flip flops. Her baby is wrapped in a stripey blanket.

Hoping and praying for a safe return Sad

Brings a tear to my eye. Especially with the other story this week about a newborn found dead in a wheelie bin. Hope the baby is found somewhere but to be honest I don't think it's that likely surely if she was going to do that she would have left the baby in the hospital.

Sadly I just got a SKY news alert to say a body of a baby girl was found close to where the ladies body was found. How desperately sad for everyone involved.

My comment was deleted but I was just sad to see that the women didn't have help knowing she had so much going on in her head not only has she taken her life she's taken a innocent babies so so sad

This is an unspeakable tragedy but the way the blame and fingers start getting pointed at staff who we all know are notoriously underpaid, aggressively managed and understaffed is actually abominable.

Successive govs have promised to boost funding for natal care and they have just merrily not done it.

Let's lay photos of Charlotte and her tiny baby at Government doors and the departments where promises are made "the nhs is safe in our hands" and then broken immediately.
