The article said that they are not looking for anyone else.
I think this implies that the mother did it then hung herself??
Or am I missing something?

I think from what I heard on the news (father in custody for own protection rather than questioning) the mother did hang herself and the children. It is so, so sad.

Yes it's very sad BUT and I'm going to play Devil's advocate here so feel free to ignore me - are the reactions to this going to be different to the chap who jumped out of the hotel window do you think? Imho both cases are really sad - to get to a situation where you think something like that is the answer is just too awful to imagine.

sorry i have written on another thread on the same subject,just wanted to say i annot imagine the horror for the husband finding his babies like that,Why do people have to take the kids with them ? im not gonna judge cause we dont know the circumstances ,but i will never understand why some of the people who want to commit suicide take their poor little kids with them ,its just so sad .My deepest sympathies to all of the family ,because of course there will be aunts ,nan,s etc

selfish bitch!why didnt she put her kids in care then kill herself?it makes me soi understand people killing themselves but to murder your own children first is sick and selfish.i hope she rots in hell.

When i first heard of this story last night i could not stop crying as i kept thinking about those poor little babies trusting their mother and she... how could she hang her children like that? Why??
What kind of torment was she going through to do that?
Brings back memories of that poor mother and her two children that died under that train a few months back.
Maybe both these mothers cared so much for their childrend that they could not bear to leave them in this world.
Just a thought.

The state of mind of someone who can do something like this is so profoundly compromised that I think judging them is pointless. It's not the act of someone who is at all sane so it can't be judged in the same way; the woman was obviously seriously mentally ill.

I don;t think there is a 'type of person' who can do this, more a profound and severe and un-hinging illness. Poor woman, poor children.

I really can not get my head around this, what kind of mental illness must someone have to be able to hang a one and two year old child, something that she couldn't have done together, she would have had to do one after another.

I really really can't understand, I really can't.

I cried my eyes out when I heard about this last night. DS is nearly 1 and the thought of harming him in any way makes me shudder but hanging him ffs. It is either severe mental illness or pure evilness. Either way it is wrong and sick just like the man who jumped of the balcony.

The poor tortured woman... imagine killing your own childen. Anyone who said she was selfish and should rot in hell hasn't a clue about mental illness obviously.

I've worked with mentally ill mums who have tried to kill their children and their mind set is always that they are doing it to save their children from a life of hell. It's part of their illness, but that is what they think/believe in their mixed up head.... they cannot leave their children behind in this dreadful, horrible world.

i have every clue about mental illness,and its not the world u want to escape from when u try to kill yourself its your own head.
even a mother who is so ill she cannot love her child and feels her child would be better off without her would not resort to murder.
the woman must have been a psychopath and does deserve to rot in hell.
