got stuck in the floods with water coming through the bottom of my car door today!
10 schools in the area were closed, was a nightmare.luckily my house isnt in the flooded area, just the roads i needed to get down!
hopefully we'll have better weather tomorrow and the rest of the week.ayone else live in this area?

River here (Usk) was V high.

reminds me of home (somerset levels)- makes me feel V V homesick

couldnt believe the roads.it wasnt even the river that flooded, it was the rain.it happened so quickly.i went past one car on the way into town and the water was at the bottom of its wheels, when i passed it 2 hours later still parked there the water was nearly to the top of the wheel trims! im going to invest in some wellies tomorrow or wednesday!

All my children went home early - so i got an hour off - I went to bed & left DD with DH

do you live in this area too? my kids school was still open but some of the roads leading to it were blocked because of the weather and has fire engines clearing them.

i've got family in Acle.Apparently the acle straight was gridlocked for over an hour today.its a nightmae at the best of times!
