what happened at the nightclub? (reading twitter)

Nerf · 12/09/2014 10:12

Hmm Nel seems to be thrown by the verdict.

Nerf · 12/09/2014 10:12

He was an idiot to go clubbing though.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 12/09/2014 10:13

The prosecution oppose further bail, now his defence giving reasons why it should be granted.

Nerf · 12/09/2014 10:15

Nel is trying to stay he sold up to fly off somewhere .

Nerf · 12/09/2014 10:16

Oh god now all the fans know where to send the mail to!

Redcoats · 12/09/2014 10:16

brawling in nightclubs

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 12/09/2014 10:17

Adjourned until 12.30 SA time

RonaldMcDonald · 12/09/2014 10:18

I can't see that his flight risk is greater. He may be sentenced to no time served.
He will be bailed.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 12/09/2014 10:18

Is it me? So much of this seems so amateur.
I can't believe the whole world's been given the address where OP's been staying.

member · 12/09/2014 10:19

Lol @ Roux reading Arnold (and Oscar) Pistorius' address out

redandyellowbits · 12/09/2014 10:19

Bizarre that the judge would allow his address to be read out at a globally televised trial!

mumtosome61 · 12/09/2014 10:19

Are they able to give out full address of parents? That seems like an awful oversight by media outlets - there was plenty enough time to 'mute' the coverage.
I understand the scene of crime address being given as that's public knowledge, but the parents address would have been considered private outside courts?

MajesticWhine · 12/09/2014 10:20

I think they might be looking for a new house now.

Animation · 12/09/2014 10:20

Very amateur - and she is writing the address down as he spells it!

mumtosome61 · 12/09/2014 10:21

Good point re: Judge. Obviously she's aware that it's televised, but presumably the media have an obligation to protect certain forms of information or evidence? I always assumed that televised trials were allowed providing information that was considered confidential was 'erased' - I don't think they were able to show the pictures of Reeva's body?

Redcoats · 12/09/2014 10:21

Another break! Doesn't she know I've got stuff to do today.

MajesticWhine · 12/09/2014 10:22

That lady must have a serious caffeine habit, or perhaps she's a smoker.

Redcoats · 12/09/2014 10:24

Didnt she reprimand Roux earlier for reading out a witnesses phone number.

I suppose that if you were really determined to find out where he is living, you could. The photos of the house have been all over the news.

redandyellowbits · 12/09/2014 10:24

Mumtosome - they did show a photo of Reeva after she died, I saw it on screen Sad.

I am stunned they have released his address. Could he have not handed it over on a piece of paper? Or should she not have that information in her case notes?

member · 12/09/2014 10:24

Actually, to be fair, the address is a matter of public record already as was on the indictment papers.

DuelingFanjo · 12/09/2014 10:26

marking place.

Why oh why would they not call 'frank' ?

Redcoats · 12/09/2014 10:57

He saw nothing, he heard nothing.

Nerf · 12/09/2014 11:12

There is something wrong there isn't there. That you can witness a crime and not be made to speak up.

mumtosome61 · 12/09/2014 11:18

I know his home has been televised extensively, but not the parents - plus people who are not familiar with that district of SA wouldn't have the foggiest clue where to go. Is the parents address on the indictment papers? OP no longer lives at the address of the crime.

I assume the picture of Reeva was not intended to be seen - I always find televised murder trials a bit of a risky business; both for the integrity of those present and the dignity of the victim and their families.
