Possibly the right decision long term but more needs to be done to make sure existing pregnancies are dealt with in a sensible way.

What about people who are already pregnant with a surrogate baby? How will they afford to keep it and it seems odd that the biological parents won't get their own child.

Ah sorry, reread it and they need a court order to get the child rather than an outright ban
