I for one am glad, cost me and my girlfriend a fortune to conceive our child and there was no help available. What makes a gay woman any less worthy of being a mother?

Exactly. It makes me sick that people think like this in this day and age. Men are obviously feeling intimidated that women can become parents without their input.. just donated sperm

Saw this earlier. Didn't get as far as reading the article. y initial thought was that whoever wrote that headline was it's almost like the DM are trying to parody themselves. Nearly had to check I wasn't on the Daily Mash site or something.

I was actually going to report it but then though - its the DM, it's going to do no good.

Even if it is NHS funded, I would be more than happy for my taxes to be spent in this way. I mean lets be fricken honest - its a lot more productive a way than some of the schemes they are currently spent on. My friend had an IVF baby with the help of the NHS and she is a fab mother and the baby is loved and cared for and looked after unlike a lot of the comments that seem to suggest the family scrounges on benefits.

It is also available for single women and hetrosexual couples.

But I guess that isn't as fab a header is it.

I wouldn't care if it was! Dp and I had nhs funded IVF for our amazing Miracle and excitingly awaiting the arrival of my cousins ds to his lesbian mother! Oh the outrage!!!

I oppose purposely creating any child with the intention that they will never know or have contact with their biological parent and heritage. Whether they're being created for gays or straights. Willfully denying a child their genetic heritage purely to meet the emotional wants of an adult is incredibly cruel and selfish.

Biology matters regardless of how some may deny it because it's fashion to do so or because they benefit from believing it unimportant. It's incredibly important for most people to know where they come from, no human should be an object to be purchased, they're people and should be respected as such.

Oppose all you want, with your straight privilege.

It honestly does not matter who raises the child or which parent the child knows as long as they are cherished and adored.

I've never met my biological father, I have no interest or curiosity to do so. I'm 27 and have a family of my own do I'm not likely to change my mind anytime soon.

Children grow up accepting as normal whatever their experience is
