wondr what the response will be on the article - I don't know all the political info on this but it does seem that it will get to many people. What is the labour party general view on this?

TwoIfBySea · 15/09/2006 10:00

I thought the whole of the Labour party stood beside Maggie's views and policies, particularly Tony Blair who is more Tory than anyone!

Who would have thought that Labour would be more odious than the Tories?

Piffle · 15/09/2006 10:01

Very naive to think that any linking of himself to That Woman is ever going to have a positive connotation.

Am I the only one who is planning to emigrate if Gordon Brown becomes PM?!

expatinscotland · 15/09/2006 10:41

He's a freak.

I doubt Margaret will be too chuffed either - I wouldn't like to be associated with GB!

expatinscotland · 15/09/2006 10:45

He's just nailing shut his coffin, IMO.

My god, he can get worse than tony blair, I would not have believed it.

What an arse.

FillyjonktheBananaEater · 15/09/2006 10:47

Who the feck does he think is going to vote for him, if he basically turns into a right wing david cameron?

Gobbledigook · 15/09/2006 10:49

'Gordon Brown doesn't seem to realise that this isn't going to convince anyone south of the Border, but many people in Scotland will regard this as a betrayal.' I don't often agree with Alex Salmond but he's right this time.

The Labour party is a unionist party - no surprises there - but why mention Thatch?

Also love the bit at the end of the article - would bring a tear to a glass eye. This man has no shame. Worse than Blair which is saying something.

expatinscotland · 15/09/2006 11:19

I had no idea Thatcher was so hated here, until someone brought her up and a very posh, very well-educated, normally reserved and relatively conservative colleague just went almost ned-like!

But surely conservatives will vote for Cameron? I mean, surely? Why vote for a Torified Labour party when you can have the real thing, with horns on .
