UK Establishment Closes Ranks as Organised Child Sex Abuse Network Leads Back to No. 10

For decades, vulnerable children from care homes and other institutions were booked to order by rich and powerful men, for sex. This is the allegation put forward in ‘Nightmares at Elm Guest House’, in an interview with Chris Fay of the National Association for Young People in Care. As another significant member of the Conservative party is about to be outed this weekend, we take a closer look at these allegations and ask: how much longer can the UK establishment keep this story suppressed?

BBC Newsnight terrible. First they put on Peter McKelvie who was excellent and shocking in what he said. Then they put Frank Furedi on to imply this is a moral panic etc. Diverted from the real horrendous issue, and Kirsty Wark is now talking about whether there is a danger of witchhunts and lynch mobs. BBC - disgraceful.

Peter McKenzie said "I find it quite disappointing that after all these years the views of Mr Furedi are still put forward on a programme like this".

And now there is a diversion about are whether Furedi has any concerns that children may see men as sexual predators.

BBC. Same old.

claig · 07/07/2014 22:54

McKelvie not McKenzie

David Ike, oh yes he had Saville down as a necrophiliac a while back:

newsnight sounds very disappointing Claig, I'll have a look on iplayer later on tonight.

There's some suggestion that paedophile rings were 'useful' to the establishment as a whole
[[http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/10952138/Member-of-Edward-Heaths-government-boasted-he-could-cover-up-a-scandal-involving-small-boys.html In the mid 1990s a senior ex whip who had served in the 1970s told the BBC that the whip's office routinely helped MPs with scandals including those in his own words involving small boys.
“They did it in order to exert control over those individuals and prevent problems for the government]]

ICanHearYou · 07/07/2014 23:14

I will feel similarly to politicians who ignored and covered up abuse as I (and Tim Minchin) feel about the pope

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 08/07/2014 00:12

claig I agree re newsnight - I was thinking WTF listening to Furedi. It's quite startling listening to the efforts being made now to kick back against the tide that's shining light in dark corners.

Tanith · 08/07/2014 07:30

I'm not surprised, after what happened the last time Newsnight tried to run a report about a senior politician involved in paedophilia.

sittingatmydeskagain · 08/07/2014 07:59

Absolutely. 5 Live was also talking about whether people had changed their behaviours because of worries about allegations (eg fathers watching children in the playground at school etc).

Some names have been given "again and again"

Sadly this is true, videos and pictures provide a great source of blackmail to be used by the security services. It happened with the Kincora Boys Home in Belfast in the 70s/80s, it is beyond heart breaking. I really feel the truth about this and the Elm Guest House will be known though and people will be brought to justice.

Suzannewithaplan · 08/07/2014 11:59

That then leads me to the idea that people have been deliberately enticed into pedophilia, or led into situations where they had opportunities to sexually abuse.

Much as the stereotypical drug 'pusher' befriends and gives free samples until the victim is addicted

Suzannewithaplan · 08/07/2014 12:25

So the children were used by the establishment as bait, a fly on the end of a rod for the fishermen to reel in the big fish

creekyknees · 08/07/2014 12:27

Heres the BBC stored video of the chief whip from the 70's admitting how they covered up and why.

Posted on Mark Williams Thomas twitter and related to the question Lisa Nandy raised to Theresa May yesterday.

Truly shocking

Suzannewithaplan · 08/07/2014 12:28

Sexual abuse appears not to have been merely covered up, rather it seems to have been deliberately cultivated

SittingNextToSanta · 08/07/2014 12:55

It looks like it, so those who did that are as bad as those who abused.

Suzannewithaplan · 08/07/2014 13:01

As with the kingpins in the drugs empires, the people at the top don't do any of the actual dirty work

Wannabestepfordwife · 08/07/2014 13:04

suzanne I'm sorry to say I think your right.

Does anyone knows what Ed's opinion on the scandal is? Nick Clegg doesn't appear outraged, apart from his speech over the inquiry has been very quiet (but as some of the speculated abusers are close to him I'm not suprised) but I don't think I've heard what Ed thinks anywhere

Wannabestepfordwife · 08/07/2014 13:05

I meant dc has been very quiet unsurprising really

Suzannewithaplan · 08/07/2014 13:05

I see it as a facet of the wider system whereby human weaknesses are exploited and encouraged for the sake of profit and control.

Or perhaps that's just a bit too 'tin foil hat'

Suzannewithaplan · 08/07/2014 13:08

Pawns in the games of the powerful elites, fodder for the machine, cannon fodder

Wannabestepfordwife · 08/07/2014 13:11

It may have been crass and ill thought out but I have a new found respect for Philip Scofield showing the list of alleged Tory paedophiles to DC at least he tried to do something and get people interested

sittingatmydeskagain · 08/07/2014 13:11

Sadly, I also think that this was the case.

We can only hope that, in this world of mass internet coverage, twitter, blogs etc, the truth will come out, rather than being covered up again.

Suzannewithaplan · 08/07/2014 13:15

The internet certainly seems to have changed the game

sittingatmydeskagain · 08/07/2014 13:16

I can't believe that any of the party leaders were unaware. I mean, people have been talking about this for years.

Damnautocorrect · 08/07/2014 13:34

We need a massive shake up in politics, this is vile. Just came across the Edward Heath rumours. Those poor poor vulnerable children.
Between this, expenses rows, and the business links with politics. What the hell are we doing letting these people make decisions for us all they can think with his their cocks and wallets
