Well, often really. I have family out there who have a bomb shelter in their house and have had to evacuate for weeks at a time so I have great sympathy for ordinary Israelis trying to go about their lives. What happened to 3 sch

How can you say that TusconGirl? - I don't think any of us who are condemning Israel support Hamas or approve of their firing of rockets and using civilians as human shields, we are however, united in our horror and disgust towards Israel for it's tactics.

Israel supporters harp on about Hamas and the need to defend Israel but staunchly refuse to comment on the fact that Israel is killing hundreds of civilians, what of that?? Collateral damage?? These people are no different to you or me: mothers, children, elderly people, how can you turn a blind eye to that or even have the audacity to attempt to justify it as part of Israel defending itself??

Tucson I think you'll find that most of the world is appalled at Israel's actions, many of them jews. Thankfully those who support apartheid are very very few.

This isn't about religion, or leftism. It is about speaking up against a mass murder of a group of refugees who have been expelled from their homes and forced to live in an open air prison. This really is about humanity. Would you be prepared to voice your concerns if the children murdered were non muslim?

The fact that the children are Muslim has nothing to do with it. Again, what exactly are Israel supposed to do when faced with an enemy that has proven, time and time again, that they will use every weapon they can get their hands on, INCLUDING USING SAID CHILDREN AS SUICIDE BOMBERS, in order to kill Israelis. What exactly would you have Israel do? Sacrifice their own people? How many of them?

Nowhere have I stated anything against jews. In fact I have massive respect for the jewish people who are against Israel's genocidal acts and even more respect for the Israelis who cannot stand how Israel dehumanises and kills palestinians and their children.

I am quite content that the world gets to see your posts and the dehumanisation of Palestinians and see Israel's 'self-defence' and of course ......'restraint!'

In a word yes. Israel will have to do what the whites did in America when they stopped oppressing the blacks during slavery, what the whites had to do in South Africa and what many many occupying regimes have had to do.

And they must be held accountable for the genocide in a war crimes tribunal.

Yes....they should leave and return the land to its rightful owners.

They should also answer to their war crimes and crimes against humanity in the International Court.

The reason Hamas haven't killed more Israeli civilians isn't because they aren't trying. It's because they're underequipped and utterly incompetant. But they have killed plenty of Israeli civilians in the past. And they have absolutely no qualms about who they kill, miliary or civilian. And they are quite prepared to hide behind their own civilians when it suits them, so that they can blame Israel when the inevitable happens.

Israel did return land. Israel left a thriving greenhouse vegetable industry in gaza for the Palestinians. It was destroyed in hours as it was Jewish built.
Hamas' charter is to kill all Jews, not all Israelis. All Jews. How is Israel supposed to negotiate with people who's sworn purpose is to destroy all Jews? And yet they have negotiated and tried. And will keep trying.

It's easy to sit in England and the rest of the world and see Israel as oppressing Palestinians. But the facts on the ground are that Israel must defend themselves against people who want to destroy them. And proportionate response? What does that mean? They shoot a rocket that blows up in a field so Israel blows one up in their fields?? How is that a deterrent? No one wants innocents killed, but Hamas has documented use of civilians as human shields and Israel does what it can to mitigate civilian casualties.

Maybe if Israel deactivated the Iron Dome for a while and sacrificed a few of its people, it might it a bit more of a "fair fight".

These are facts tuscon. Palestinians civilians have been killed by Israel - well well over a 100 dead. Not a single Israeli dead. What is there to argue?

Israel does as it wants. At least you understand Hamas are under equipped. Israel on the other hand can enforce lethal and undiscriminating rocket bombardment on the people of Gaza.

The reason no Israelis are dead is not because Hamas has not been doing it's damdest to kill them. It's because Israel does a better job of protecting it's citizens than Hamas does.

Israel is targeting leading Hamas operatives and weapons caches. Not indiscriminately bombing.

Why didn't the Palestinians take over the greenhouses and run them as businesses? Could it be because Hamas would rather keep it's people poor and full of hate instead of letting them succeed in life and find that there's more to life than hating Israel?
