Madness

BoomBoomsCousin · 01/07/2014 11:22

At a 150 mph were the seatbelts even relevent?

Givent the lack of intent to cause harm in drving crimes I'm not a big fan of long prison sentences. But I think people who make these sorts of decisions should be banned from driving for far longer and have other communty sentences imposed.

it makes me so Angry when I think not only is he endangering his own kids but also did not give a damn for anyone else on the roads - he could have wiped out a whole other family, caused absolute carnage and misery for many people. And he would not have been insured even if the accident were more minor!

Idiots like this should not be allowed back behind the wheel of a car, and there should be ways of making sure they don't just do the same again and drive while disqualified.

I'm amazed the woman in the passanger seat who I'm assuming was the mother of the kids allowed it. Part of me thinks she's as bad. Yes, I guess she could be in an abusive relationship and be scared of him, etc, etc. she could have called the police.

CharmQuark · 01/07/2014 19:18

Were all those kids his? 2 6m olds, a one yo and a two yo?

If any of the unsecured kids were the kids of the 'female passenger' I thnk she should have been done, too.

Guess he missed his ferry after all.

there are always some that will never listen. Although I agree that if he had crashed at 150mph belts would merely be holding corpses.

On foot today I saw a car with him driving, her in the back with a belt and the baby also in the back - but tucked into the central rear belt, no car seat.

he was only doing 20mph round the town when I saw him - but one bump and that baby could die.

yes, should have noted number and called 101. Am ashamed that I didn't react in time.

I've seen a 6 month old baby sat on an 8yr olds knee in the front of a van. Imagine the guilt the poor 8yr old would carry if anything happened to the baby because of the parents utter stupidity Sad
