I think you were going to the same area as me for holidays - we just got back last night and were shocked to hear about this:

There was a storm Thursday night and the seas have been very rough since - plus the lifeguards are only there till the end of August as you probably know. It gave me and dh a shiver - a couple of days earlier and we would have been on this beach and it could have been dh.....
