This is horrible, as I live in the region affected, and my ds would have had exactly this kind of drip when he was in SCBU after he was born.

Just makes you think that instead of having my chirpy 2 year old, I could have been in a much worse position.
Hopefully the cause/source has been identified and steps taken to improve the processes around manufacturing this stuff.

Dreadful thing to happen and it brings home how people rely on the manufacturers to get it right every time.
I hope that the MCA have removed their manufacturing licence until this is sorted out.
My heart goes out to the parents.

Yes, awful tragedy for the poor parents.

My cousin's baby was killed by a drip - in his case, a nurse failed to dilute the saline solution so he was poisoned with salt. Horrendous.
