Lazy town improves childrens health

although i have to say i was a little shocked that the 3 year before lazytown used to sit and eat malteasers in front of the telly.

Mine have always been good at eating fruit but they are so into eating apples at the moment - WITHOUT needing them cut up and this is down to Sportacus.

They were never great on veg but are now much better because 'Sportacus eats carrots', 'peas make you big and strong like Sportacus/Daddy'. I tell you, it is fabbo!

bloody programme convinced ds1 not to eat anything but healthy veg nd um, chicken skin.

Coz Sportacus says healthy food is important. He's quite badly underweight.

dd's school had a "healthy" week. (This was fine with her, as she is obsessed with Sporticus.) They all did little drawings of what they'd like in a "healthy lunchbox", and hers was pretty much what we give her anyway. I felt like asking the school what they think we normally put in their lunchboxes - white bread, slices of lard and blue pop, maybe??

theres something not quite right about that programme,it makes me feel uncomfortable.why do kids have to watch programmes that force the healthy eating thing down thier throats?surely its a form of brainwashing?!why cant they just watch useless claptrap like i used to??

but it works. mine rush about wanting to be sportacus and stephanie, they both want the outfits for xmas, carrots and apples are being eaten as soon as i buy them, and dd1 is getting more adventerous, even dd2 tried some brocolli the other day.

Well, my 5 yr old ds (who is vegetarian and always enjoyed fruit for snacks) loves lazytown - but since watching it he has been nagging us for a video game (like Pixel) and saying that sweets aren't bad for you because Ziggy eats them!

On the better side, ds likes to do 'push ups' now, and the synchronised dancing of dd and ds is unbelievable
