here is Part 5 but we are ready (nearly) for a new one.

OP posts:
Nerf · 05/05/2014 22:22

Barry Bateman on twitter says frank lived down a path to the left of the main house - I assumed separate buildings?

YNK · 05/05/2014 22:28

Hmmm I think I'm wrong about something else!
I don't think Carl was there so who had OP's phone for the 8 hours it was missing?
It was the one OP said he had in his pocket but couldn't remember putting on charge in the kitchen.
I don't know which one Stander used to phone the ambulance or if Carise used one of OP's to phone his friend, Carl and Oldwage?
Can anyone put me right, please?

StackALee · 05/05/2014 22:28

hmmm, now that I am watching the second session I wonder... could the defence have had a word with Miss Stander because she's definitely less excited in the second part. In the first part she was getting very excited i thought.

BonnieL · 05/05/2014 22:29

On a side note: when Roux asked the judge if the court could be adjourned...what if she'd said no?! Didn't seem like she had much choice in the matter unless they were all just going to sit there for the afternoon....

Nerf · 05/05/2014 22:30

I think there are two phones and the work one was on charge in the kitchen and that's the one Candice used. Nel was keen to make sure it was on charge.

StackALee · 05/05/2014 22:36

seriously?

there was a man in or near the house who heard nothing.
I call bollocks.
in the UK they can make people come to court, can't they?
why can't they do this with the housekeeper?

AnyaKnowIt · 05/05/2014 22:38

But frank must have heard something to be standing outside?

Nerf · 05/05/2014 22:42

Was he in the house or in separate quarters? Because how does the alarm fit in with that? Separate building, alarm could be on or off. Same building, alarm has to be set for various areas or off.

Roussette · 05/05/2014 22:43

This just about sums it up I think -

Asked why the defence would not call Mr Chiziweni either, the source responded: “He is an employee of Mr Pistorius's. What you don’t hear can be as damaging as what you do.”

OP posts:
Roussette · 05/05/2014 22:43

A policeman who arrived at the scene an hour after the shooting confirmed Mr Chiziweni had been sleeping in a room off the kitchen and was awake when they arrived.

Hillwalker · 05/05/2014 22:44

I don't think the alarm was on very much. OP had to say it was on that night to fit in with his alleged vulnerability and fear of crime.

AmIthatSpringy · 05/05/2014 22:45

nerf I wondered about Nel's focus on the phone in the kitchen and thought of a possible reason

I wondered if it was the phone in the kitchen that had been used to call for help. I will need to go back to Moller's testimony to see what numbers were called from. Nel could argue that OP didn't call for help upstairs, as the phone was habitually left downstairs and was on charge.

Of course, defence could argue that OP only put the phone on the charger once he was down - perhaps the battery was low and he wanted to recharge to phone the various people he phoned?

Hillwalker · 05/05/2014 22:46

Could a live-in employee be forced to testify here? Just curious.

StackALee · 05/05/2014 22:46

also, sorry but all the stuff that Carice Stander says they did before anyone arrived...before Dr stipp arrived... going upstairs for towels, getting bags, having a conversation about what had happened (she was very sure to say he had said 'I thought she was an intruder' yet again) , praying to god...

how does that fit into the timeline?

StackALee · 05/05/2014 22:49

'A subpoena /s??pi?n? is a writ by a government agency, most often a court, that has authority to compel testimony by a witness or production of evidence would have in the uk, but it sounds like in this case neither side wants him in court.

Nerf · 05/05/2014 22:53

Oh ok springy, so one phone and on charge downstairs.
I have to say its bloody weird that Frank is allowed to get away with saying nothing.

Nerf · 05/05/2014 22:54

And if it fitted OP story surely he would say so.

AmIthatSpringy · 05/05/2014 23:05

But Nerf, that is just me speculating. I just wondered why Nel kept asking about the phone and the charger. I could be way off there

YNK · 05/05/2014 23:15

Police found 2 phones upstairs. One Reevas one Oscars.
I'm pretty sure OP said he took one down in his pocket but didn't remember what he did with it, put it on charge or not.
I just cant put my finger on which one went missing and who the police got it back from.

YNK · 05/05/2014 23:35

Anyway, it must have been the one upstairs that he couldn't remember the code for. The one he used the most!
The one he said he brought downstairs that the Standers used was maybe not locked.

YNK · 05/05/2014 23:44

Here we go I found this on DS

He kept hold of one phone and didn't hand it in until after the Bail Hearing, so he must have had it when in holding cells waiting for his bail hearing ! he had 4 I think and one number that he didn't disclose that Phone Analyst said that he'd been given the wrong number, and OP said he couldn't remember the access code to it, password thingy - but he got the data from it by going to APPLE !

So OP kept hold of the phone everyone was using downstairs

RonaldMcDonald · 05/05/2014 23:53

oom is the same as Mr ie it is like a respectful term for an older man
or uncle

AmIthatSpringy · 05/05/2014 23:56

Oh yes Nerf, I just noticed the other half of your post.

Yes, if it was supportive, you'd think he would be right up there as star witness for the defence.

I am intrigued to know what his statement actually said. He would have had to give a reason for being at the front door Confused

StackALee · 05/05/2014 23:58

So will there be a statement from Frank that the judge will have?

Hillwalker · 05/05/2014 23:59

So Op's pockets were not turned out on his arrival at the police station? Have I see too many cop shows or does that really happen here? Surely you wouldn't be allowed to keep your phone!
