Feeling lonely

Hi all im new need a chat
My children are 15 and 11. Im 33
Its half term im bored kids out with friends
I feel like my children are slipping away to the point where they dont depend on me no more.
Its a horrible feeling.
I miss my kids being young half term used to be fantastic now I feel empty.
Any advive

Hi fairydust. I can't really relate as my dcs are still tiny but didn't want to leave you unanswered.
Could you take the opportunity to do something for you? Club / volunteering / hobby? Sorry not to be any help.

Yes I can definately relate to what you're saying. Both my children left for boarding school when they got to 15. It was awful for me.

Three years on and I still miss them very much. I found it very hard to know how to fill the gaping void left in me.

Food took up quite a bit of space before I could get on to better choices.

I wish you well and do encourage to continue reaching out towards others.
