But remember - no mentions by name.

aragon · 08/08/2006 08:48

Apparently has threatened Mumsnet among other sites which bring parents together to support one another.

Are we allowed to have links to articles about no-one or does it count as a post about nobody IYSWIM?

Whizzz · 08/08/2006 09:59

There are various threads which have links to all the stories

coppertop · 08/08/2006 10:07

Just found one of the threads with links. Thanks.

joelallie · 08/08/2006 10:58

good interview Justine!

hellywobs · 08/08/2006 16:38

She (or her lawyers have lcearly overreacted) but attributing comments like "stick a baby on a back of a rocket and send it into Lebanon" is just plain stupid as it's obviously not true.

There are a lot of vitriolic and illinformed comments on this board as well as the supportive valuable stuff. Lets hope that this makes people think a little more about the what they write and say.

hellywobs · 08/08/2006 16:39

sorry for all the typos!

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 16:39

Hello hellybobs, are you new?

fairyjay · 08/08/2006 16:40

Maybe, but when you're chatting to 'friends', you don't tend to censor your conversation!

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 16:41

have just searched and found that you're not. OK!

JessaFreedomFighter · 08/08/2006 16:44

Hellywobs...think original post was not actually that any guru suggested mums stick babies to rockets..think it was actually in reponse to a question from a new poster who asked something along the lines of "what does this guru do that has got you all debating said guru" to which , as you point out a "obviously" not true, humourous reply regarding rockets was made...

joelallie · 08/08/2006 17:05

Yes some stupid things were said. But does it really matter. If a learned professor of childcare had printed in a reputable journal an opinion that this person "beleived that babies should be stuck to rockets" I think that they might have a case to answer. But as this is a website where people post their own personal, unscientific opinions, I think that all this fuss is total overkill.

I wonder - has mumsnet kept certain posts of vitriol that Voldemort wrote itself while posting incognito? Surely what's good for the goose is good for the gander ... it's not immune to a bit of message board bashing itself...

mummyhill · 08/08/2006 19:08

Just searched on voldermorts mn name and found that quite a few of the afformentioned persons posts were deleted! I wonder why?

GeorginaA · 08/08/2006 19:11

Just thought it might be useful in any courtroom defence to show that it gave as good as it got...

JessaFreedomFighter · 08/08/2006 19:15

SSSHHHH everyone, MNHQ asking that we don't even mention (even inserting blank spaces...still able to lurk and spot them without searching on any names....yes?
