southeastastra · 07/08/2006 20:45

he shouldn't have posted it on the web! those guys sigh

Pandorasjarboy · 07/08/2006 21:38

What???? 30 y.o. going on 8? You could say (stoopid) twat.

schneebly · 07/08/2006 21:42

what a prat!

Beauregard · 07/08/2006 21:43

Havent watched it but think that it is irresponsible(?)does he not remember the little girl who died because she climbed in the tumble dryer one night and suffocated?

lemonaid · 07/08/2006 22:06

People used to do that in the tumble dryers at college. They called it "space cadeting". Never did it myself, I hasten to add. No one videoed it of put it on the web, either (anyone who points out that that's probably because I am old and people didn't do things like that then, go to the bottom of the class).

hunkermunker · 07/08/2006 22:10

Cock.

Olihan · 07/08/2006 22:11

The thing that really pissed me off about this is not that they did it, or that they posted it on the net - it's their own stupidity. It's the fact that the BBC news showed the clip in full and then bleated on about how people at home shouldn't try it. FFS, why even show it? Mention it without the footage and people can find it for themselves. How f*ing irresponsible do the BBC want to be?

SherlockLGJ · 07/08/2006 22:12

No........ all of him got tumbled.

I thought that was funny.

I laughed my arse off in the middle of tea.

Who gives a toss? Don't they have better things to worry than some muppet and his mates putting him in a dryer?

expatinscotland · 07/08/2006 22:25

Am I the only one who found that funny?

Cuz I did. When they showed it, I got up to go and watch b/c it was just too funny to miss.

flutterbee · 07/08/2006 22:29

I found it funny expat but then I'm kinda childish like that

Pandorasjarboy · 07/08/2006 22:30

Would have been funny if he was in there with his mate having anal sex..(see other thread! not just being coarse for it's own sake...honest..)

expatinscotland · 07/08/2006 22:32

It would be even funnier, Panda. But I doubt the BBC would have aired it, so we probably would never have known just how funny it is.

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 07/08/2006 22:37

no expat you're not the only one. dh and most of his mates made a habit of this at univeristy. an important tip though (from dh) is that you have to go head first other wise you'll be sick. I find the incident amusing. what I don;t find amusing is the ridiculous waste of tax payers money holding news conferences and an investigation. ffs get a grip. some grown men mucking about. oooh no missus. can't have that.

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 07/08/2006 22:38

dh also says you;ve got to set it to cold

lemonaid · 07/08/2006 22:46

Oh yes. People who didn't set it to cold ended up with little pinprick burns on their exposed bits.

expatinscotland · 07/08/2006 22:53

it just would never have occurred to me, even in my drunkest or highest moments, to get into a dryer.

i mean, that's so fucked up it's funny.

Gingerbear · 07/08/2006 23:01

Boys pranks.

Gingerbear · 07/08/2006 23:01
