I hope this link still works, very interesting discussion in Parliament yesterday about vCJD, certainly confirms that:

'Patients are still being put at risk, disgraceful - quote by Prof.John Collinge'

and that surgical and dental instruments are not being decontaminated to remove prions even though a solution was developed by DuPont 10 years ago but never introduced into NHS hospitals or dentists.

What was also discussed in the Parliament meeting about vCJD was a urine test which is currently in the early stages of development but looks promising, so could mean that infective prions are detected in our urine samples.

Looks like, at last, it might be taken a little more seriously. Wonder why though, what was the incentive to debate now? I mean I`m glad they are, just interested after years of silence.

Be aware, you're such a scaremonger. What about the directive that made the use of dental instruments in contact with nerves single use only?
