In the trial prosecution evidence. Aha.

What MA?

I have to go and eat dinner now at my parents house, but i will be back soon and if you don't mind you can tell me what you meant by that remark.

Scheriously · 26/11/2013 17:06

Also also - what was the judge playing at? This shouldn't be public, there is no sworn in jury or anything. Nothing is particularly fair here. Nigella was the one humiliated when the world had to see her husband's hand around her neck, in a horrible and vulnerable position, and now this. Really nasty.

Yes. I would find it hard to imagine being in a situation where I thought it ok to grab my partner by the neck and stick my fingers up his nose. In public.

However furious I might be at their possible drug usage.

It might well have been something I would have brought up at home. In private. or with a therapist.

I am so PC. Innit.

coffeeinbed · 26/11/2013 17:07

Really?
She was off her head but he was unaware of her drug taking.
Hmm

NorthernLurker · 26/11/2013 17:08

I'm very comfortable saying it's a man's fault that he could be photographed with his hands round his wife's throat. His behaviour since that moment has only further evidenced this.

mathanxiety · 26/11/2013 17:09

Your comment about fault is what's making me heave, LemonMuffin.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Umpire · 26/11/2013 17:09

I DONT CARE. he was abusive and his point is "now, do you see how i HAD to control her and abuse her?".

He is merely letting the wirld know how he thinks, thay there are mitigating circs for hitting your wufe. He is a massive dickhead.

EldritchCleavage · 26/11/2013 17:10

Yes, the allegation is of fairly heavy daily drug use including cocaine and prescription drugs but apparently Saatchi didn't notice. All very rum.

The only double standard here is the one where men get away with violence and women get kicked in the teeth for daring to stand up to it.

EldritchCleavage · 26/11/2013 17:14

Don't ask me how, but I know of one case of 'star in drugs shame' where the tabloid journos supplied the drugs the sleb was photographed taking.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 17:15

why would you even want the world to know this about your ex?

I mean, really? It's not like the dcs together....

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 17:15

sorry, they have dcs together, and he is concerned about their welfare.

mathanxiety · 26/11/2013 17:16

Oh and LemonMuffin, the one about sometimes women not being perfect -- that one made me throw up a little in my mouth. If you, whoever you are, are not perfect, does that give someone the right to choke you?

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 17:16

In which case I would still not underdstand bringing it to the publics attention.

They are both rich enough to keep this kind of info out of the media.

The fact is he has chosen to smear her name in public.

Rooners · 26/11/2013 17:17

'I have to go and eat dinner now at my parents house, but i will be back soon and if you don't mind you can tell me what you meant by that remark.'

lolz

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 17:18

If his primary concern was the effect on her children and his dd, he would do everything he can to sort it out behind the scenes.

Because exposing your children to this in the media is also a form of abuse.

I agree Madame. He's made a recent choice to put this 'evidence' before the court. He's made a choice to talk at length about what a good chap he is and how it's all Nigella's fault. He's hinted and suggested at length. In response to which she's said nothing. Good for her.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 17:21

and you have to ask yourself, why would he supply supporting information to the very people who had ripped him off?

Because they were little innocents who just happened to spend 300K on handbags and nonsense?

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 17:21

And where was his accountant in all this?

Oh please.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 17:27

'Hello Mr Saatchi, I seem to find some irregularities on the credit card you supply for household expenses...'

'Oh, don't worry about that. I am sure chorizo handbags are vair expensive these days'

I'm not perfect. Nobody has the right to strangle me.
