In the trial prosecution evidence. Aha.

OP posts:
lemonmuffin · 26/11/2013 21:53

I don't have any interest, or gripe.

No more than anyone else just discussing this subject.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 21:59

yes, our real NL.. any man who uses children in his 'fight' with his spouse/ex-spouse is beneath contempt.

lemonmuffin · 26/11/2013 22:01

It's a difficult one tho.

Right now I seem to be in a position where Im defending multi-millionaire, middle class, privileged, middle aged, white men!

which i never normally do!

NorthernLurker · 26/11/2013 22:01

He's had a go at all of them now. Used his daughter to get at Nigella, blamed Bruno for the row in the first place I seem to recall and now has branded Cosima a drug addict. How they must loathe him.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 22:04

yes. any parent would feel revulsion at the use of their children in the their personal fight.

Good for Nigella. She sits on her hands. How many of us would have that self control?

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 22:06

And how betrayed they must feel by the man who stepped into their father's shoes after his death.

TheSteveMilliband · 26/11/2013 22:08

Am seriously beginning to think lemonmuffin is CS himself. Or a huge DV apologist. Sad. Liking comment by Hadley freeman re. "Saatchis law" - the more saatchi tries to trash NIgella the more people love her and the more people dislike him

lemonmuffin · 26/11/2013 22:12

Goodness me Stevemilliband, im sorry you feel that way.

And i have no idea who hadley freeman is

NorthernLurker · 26/11/2013 22:14

Madame - that's a very upsetting thought. I'm absolutely certain Lwason and Diamond's marriage wasn't all roses round the door. Nobody's is. But he must have hoped, when he knew that he would be leaving her, that she would have happiness, stability, love and respect - for her and the dcs. You're right it IS a terrible betrayal.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 22:25

Yes, the Real NL! I find it incomprehensible that any decent parent would use their children in their fight with a partner/soon to ex-partner/ex-partner.

The fact that his poor dd was made to make a statement regarding her SM was appalling.

If you were that worried about Mimi, Charles Saatchi, why did you do nothing to fix it?

Yeah. Right. No answer. Come on Mumsnet and respond to your coat trailing nonsense about your family. And see how far you get.

Very few people think you are the hard done one by here.

Because, Oh, my word, you are the only one to peddle personal information in the media.

think on.

HuwEdwards · 26/11/2013 22:26

Christ, we need a whip round. MN will need a new "Message deleted by Mumsnet for breaking our Talk Guidelines. Replies may also be deleted." stamp. It's been worn out on this thread.

NorthernLurker · 26/11/2013 22:28

Huw - I've seen worse!

MAdame - what a webchat that would be.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 22:31
Grin
MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 22:32

he hasn't the balls. Like any troll, he is drip drip drip feed kinda guy.

Mellowandfruitful · 26/11/2013 22:33

It's amazing really. Just when you think Charles Saatchi can't possibly make himself look like more of a cock than he already has, then he goes and tops his previous achievements. Whatever the truth of this the motivations are very clear. Trinny Woodall is a complete idiot to have anything to do with him.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 22:44

yes. trophy dining for column inches. how sad is that.

MadameDefarge · 26/11/2013 22:47

I think it is fair to say that while the majority of us live very different lives to CS and Nigella, we do all live the same life when it comes to our children.

Number one we don't use our children as pawns. If we do, we are cunts. End of.

Am I missing anything?

Valpollicella · 27/11/2013 00:15

That sums it up Madame

MadameDefarge · 27/11/2013 01:05

I think so. Thanks Valpollicella!

According to the Daily Mail

"But, in October, a statement they had made with their lawyers alleging regular drug abuse by Miss Lawson was sent to the prosecution, by a ‘third party’. Further investigations by Mr Saatchi ‘confirmed’ the drugs claims, the court was told.

Miss Lawson briefly threatened to withdraw from giving evidence, it was said, but changed her mind after Mr Saatchi threatened to sue her for £500,000 he said he was owed as a result of the alleged fraud and his legal costs."

claig · 27/11/2013 07:46

Someone upthread said that Saatchi divorced Nigella. But is that right? The Mail says

'Miss Lawson had petitioned for divorce on the grounds of Saatchi’s ‘unreasonable behaviour’. She said the marriage had ‘irretrievably broken down’.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2483393/Charles-Saatchi-wont-sue-Nigella-Lawson-divorce-truth.html

NorthernLurker · 27/11/2013 07:51

Saatchi said he would be divorcing her but that was of course nonsense. Failure to 'stick up for me' is not grounds for divorce. She divorced him because of his unreasonable behaviour.

claig · 27/11/2013 07:51

"Neither party will be making financial claims. Both parties would appreciate privacy for themselves and their children at this difficult time.”

Mr Saatchi had played down the incident at Scott’s in Mayfair as just a “playful tiff” but later went to a police station to make a statement and accepted a caution for assault.

Miss Lawson moved out of the family home the day after the row, taking her children with her, and never returned.

It has been reported that the couple signed a pre-nuptial agreement before their wedding in 2003, and that they have decided to honour the terms of the agreement, meaning neither makes any financial claim on the other."

claig · 27/11/2013 07:57

Was legal action against the Grillos started before the photographer took pictures in the restaurant?

TheDoctrineOfWho · 27/11/2013 08:03

Why does it matter who divorced who? Their marriage was over following the behaviour by CS in the restaurant, us the caution for that, and the paperwork was probably agreed between their lawyers as whatever got the divorce through quickest.
