He is isn't he? Thank God you agree, i got slated last weekend for acknowledging his beauty but he truly is fabulous!

emkana · 13/07/2006 20:08

I just loooooooooooove him too.
Felt v. disappointed with him initially after the incident, but have now forgiven him (I'm sure that matters to him greatly )

Caligula · 13/07/2006 20:24

Well I hate to be too analytical about this, but it appears quite high up to me ... so I think it's a couple of tennis balls. (He'd been watching Wimbledon just before kick-off)

monkeytrousers · 15/07/2006 17:06

Oh, I dunno Cali. I'm going to get DP to have a look!

And I think he's more attractive since he started to shave his hair off. That monk's cap was never a good look.

JanH · 15/07/2006 17:15

Does anyone else think he is very similar to (although much better looking of course ) Simon Day? (Competitive dad etc)

(Tennis balls, C? I don't think so!)

I know giving someone a Glesga kiss isn't nice, but damn! I find Zidane SO sexy, for some reason

zippitippitoes · 15/07/2006 18:08

I do have to mention for the umpteenth time that dp is a dead ringer for him

expatinscotland · 15/07/2006 18:09

you are one lucky woman, zippi.

slurp! for some reason, i find Zidane absolutely lickable.

zippitippitoes · 15/07/2006 18:57

the downside is that people in the street call him Zidane and he gets embarrassed...

I do consider myself very lucky for all sorts of reasons he is a great bloke!

suedonim · 15/07/2006 21:17

Did I ever mention that Zinedine is ds2's girlfriend's cousin? She shares his surname thus people think it's funny to ask her if she's any relation to......they look a bit sheepish when she says yes!

JanH · 15/07/2006 21:21

Hello, suedonim!

Yes you did, although I had forgotten - when they get married please can we all have an invite to the wedding?

(btw I have worked what's going on under his shirt - he's been finding the jockstrap a bit hot and sweaty so has liberated his moving parts using it as a sort of balcony )

suedonim · 15/07/2006 22:09

I've given up hope of wedding bells, lol. Re the mystery, does that mean it is, or it isn't, ZZ's lunch box under his shirt, then??

JanH · 15/07/2006 22:30

Definitely the lunchbox, having a bit of an airing.

(Shame about the wedding - do keep a list of prospective invitees though, won't you - just in case? )

Any grandchildren on the horizon yet, from these 2 or the others? (My brother now has 1 grandchild, another on the way and 2 steps!)

OP posts:
suedonim · 15/07/2006 23:24

No, no grandchildren likely for a while! Ds1 is starting his PhD course in the US next month while his dw embarks on the second year of rabbinical training. I think ds2 and gf will marry eventually but he's so wrapped up in his PhD atm - he's speaking at a psychology conference in Athens this week - v scary!!!

How about your brood, what are they all up to? (G*d, it's so bl%dy wonderful to have internet again! )

JanH · 15/07/2006 23:51

Nothing as intellectual or exciting as your lot! 2 PHDs and a rabbi, coo! I hope the conference is conducted in English? What is the Zidane gf doing?

DD1 has a temp admin job at local Social Services until Jan/Feb, by which time she should have cleared all her credit card debt, then she plans to spend 6 months-ish in Aus and other parts (building up more cc debt probably ) and start PGCE next autumn.

DD2 just finished her first year of Social Work degree at Manchester; she was supposed to be learning to drive this summer so she could buy a car to do her long placement next year but she also has had a bad cc habit and can't afford it so she will be spending a lot of time at bus-stops instead.

DS1 is waiting for A2 results - not likely to be sparkling and he hasn't applied to uni this time. He has just come back from a holiday in Spain where he managed to badly burn his shoulders, he is supposed to be doing DofE expedition next week but he couldn't carry a backpack at the moment. (He did it at a waterpark where all his sunscreen was washed off, he would have had a long cold shower at the hotel but a girl in the party said oh no, that'll make it worse, put cream on instead...)(he also picked up an ear infection. Not a happy bunny.)

What are your girls doing? Is DD1 at AS level this year? Is DD2 changing schools this year? (I only have a vague idea of exactly how old they are!) Are you back in Scotland atm or where? (Your family leads such an interesting life!)
