I'm in bloody shock that I've spent SO LONG thinking she was her daughter and she ISN'T! I honestly have spent YEARS looking at the news at ten thinking "no wonder she looks sad poor thing"

i do remember that story - and am amazed it was 10 years ago Time seems to go so fast as you get older.

I remember her well. She was a storming journalist and utterly fearless. She went the same way as many brave and daring writers have done . One day her killers will be revealed IMO.

She certainly did not die for nothing lady sherlock. She is precisely the type of woman I will tell my dds about whe nthey are old enough to understand the concept of 'hero' and 'role model'.

at least they ( her family) can take both pride and comfort from the fact that she was exposing corruption and really trying to do some good. Many so called 'journalists' never come close to writing anything meaningful or significant.

My God - 10 years. I remember going home on a Friday evening and driving past her car which was covered and sealed off for forensics I assume. It doesn't seem that long.

She certainly was a hero but I don't know if I would put myself in the line of fire the way she did when you have a family to care for too. Wasn't she attacked at her home before this as a warning. I know you have to stand up to these types of people but it shouldn't be a fight for one journalist alone.
