Only just read this today, but how awful.
It changes my mind once again about whether to get dd 'jabbed'.

My DS had measles and it is not pleasent but I don't regret not giving it to him. At least he has lifelong immunity. DS is severely allegic to egg and it wasn't straght forward giving it to him.

DD is having singles next weekend and I am hoping she stays safe until then.

DH & I were debating about single injections and leaning more towards that side, but it isn't a decision to take lightly. I had a nightmare the other day that she'd had one jab but caught another.
I thought the line about the docs never seeing a case of measles was shocking!

My neighbour is a nurse & said that very few Drs these days have ever seen measles
We had a letter from dd1's pre school about an outbreak of measles locally & to be aware of the symptoms.Dd1 has had the MMR jab,but dd2 hasn't had hers yet,so I wish they'd hurry up & do it.My mum looked after children who were severely disabled by measles in the 60's so I've always known what the consequences can be
