Those images are devastating.

Why on earth was there not some speed control in place?

Do trains have black boxes?

Its incomprehensible that this could be human error (deliberate action?).

Terrible.

I have just watched the film. Speechless.

It seems there was speed control but two different kinds of track, where the speed control changed. Plus drivers had to slow down from 200kmph to 80kmph for that particular bend, which has been slated.

I heard mention of a black box so perhaps this will be recovered.

Awful, awful tragedy. I read in one report that volunteers and police officers were carrying bodies out with mobile phones ringing in the pockets :( such a poignant image.
